If you are doing research for a university assignment, you should get the help of a book that explains British marks such as Godden's Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain marks. According to that text, Crown Staffordshireg Porcelain Co. was in business at Minerva Works, Fenton, Staffordshire from 1889 through the 1960s. The mark you describe was used after 1930. If "Ltd." is added to the name, it dates after 1948. The Paragon China Co. is an entirely different pottery at the Atlas Works in Longton, Staffordshire. Begun as Star China Co, it was renamed in 1919.
