The main attraction of the bowl is the "pit" or "stone" fired under the glaze inside the bowl. Small pit 1" by 1/2" possibly apricot. Has a small amount of "pulp" attached. Scalloped rim, many tiny flaws in the glaze with one a slight bit bigger than tiny. No usage flaws. Gift to my great-grandmother in the late 1800's.
Flow blue says they have no information on the piece. I would appreciate any information as to the history or origin of this piece.
