I've a lovely platter in the Domestic Scenery pattern, largely attributed to Samuel & John Burton (1832 - 1845) except mine is conspicuously marked "Hardy". Interestingly the pattern mark cartouche bears the S & J B initials within it making me suspect that Hardy (whomever it was) inherited the pattern. I'm looking to find a date and makers attribution for this piece. Other Hardy items are unusual, but seemingly not rare and can be found in various places including at Replacements (mis-categorized as unknown maker PATTERN Hardy . . . ). I’ve looked at all the low-hanging fruit options (like Goddens and Google) and come up short.
Any help would be appreciated.
