There is another book on Steve's website - Charles Shaw's WHEN I WAS A CHILD. You might need a handkerchief as you read of the deprivation of the potteries and workers, particularly the conditions which confronted the children. Mr. Birks spoke to our WICA convention some years ago. TCC might want to engage him as a speaker for one of its meetings; he is a superb speaker and a wonderful gentleman. Jane
