I wonder if anyone could please advise me about this early willow-type plate (ten-inch)? The tree looks more like a buddleia, but with five clusters of catkins, the fence goes along the bank, not across the lawn, there are lanterns and a rock at the right, and one of the figures on the single-arch bridge has turned back. The pagoda gables seem to be made of brick and there are no pillars. Yet there are the apple tree and two little fat birds so it looks like willow. But the border is not a usual willow border either. The plate has no foot, just smooth beneath, with an impressed mark letter 'B', like a pair of spectacles. I will send pictures to the webmaster. With many thanks for any guidance on factory or date etc, Steven.
