I received a gift that was purchased at at thrift shop. The tag says, "Hand Painted Transfer Ware" and is 2 pieces, lid is a blue and white duck on an oval dish. I was not familiar with transferware but have now researched it. My concern is there is nothing printed on the bottom that identifies it. I collect blue and white dishes, plates, etc. and my friend bought it because of this. I do not want to tell people it is transferware if it is a replica. Please advise. Thank You.
