I have found this very helpful website. I think I have some transferware. I have 4 plates that have a Diamond Mark. I have read this as follows:
IV – category 4 for ceramics or earthenware
F – year 1847
B – October
2 – day 2
5 – batch number
Rd in middle – Patent Office Registry of Designs
Also, on the back of the plate is stamped(?) in blue script: Thomas Pearce
23 Ludgate Hill
London
Also, in red is printed c 1713.
I have downloaded some examples to my Flickr account -

Let me know if you cannot see these photos.
Can anyone provide me with any information? Is Thomas Pearce a potter or was he the owner of these plates? Also, what does c1713 mean?
Thanks for your time!
