My grandmother is moving to a smaller home, and has a complete set of Spodes blue Camilla from around the 1950's or 60's. She has a complete 12 place setting including soup and salad bowls, gravy boat, covered dishes, even ash trays! My grandfather was a Colonel in the Marines and they used to have formal dinners as part of their military functions. She wanted to know of anyone wanted it, and although I am tempted, we are casual people and don't throw formal parties, etc. I have no use for it and no room to store it. I suggested that she try to sell it, as it seems to be quite valuable. I told her I would do some internet research. Do you know how we could get the set appraised and/or sold by a reputable dealer if she chooses to do that? She lives in southern California. Thanks in advance for any resources you can give me.
