Thank you very much for this information. As I mentioned in my reply to Pat, I suspected that it might be Clews, because I have seen a picture of a Clews plate that is similar to it. I am a great, great grandson of James Clews and we have much of his transferware, which would explain why it is in my family's possession. This particular plate is extremely beautiful and a deeper blue than the other patterns.
