My family owns a lavender platter made by Wedgwood & Co. We were told that it is a sub-color of flow blue, which I guess is a kind of transferware (from what I've read online). The platter is approximately 20" x 16" and is oval shaped.
Based on an internet search of Wedgwood & Co., the platter appears to be from between 1860 and 1900, as it has an impressed mark.

The back of the platter is also stamped Amerillia. An internet search has yielded very little information about this pattern. I only found reference on the Kovels website and a website for a 1999 auction.
I am hoping that someone can either help me out by explaining this pattern and color further, or at least point me in the right direction. My family is very curious how much this platter is worth...since we sometimes use it for Thanksgiving dinner. Should it be put away for safe keeping in a cabinet, instead?
Here are some photos - sorry for the poor quality.
