We've solved the mystery. Thank you to those who responded to my question. The person asking the question sent a scan of the plate, front and back which I had requested as it was impossible to find the pattern without further info. The series was made by Adams & Co. in the early 1940's from an 1864 Currier & Ives print of the "American Express Train." One of the TCC members' mothers has the series which she purchased from B. Altman in NY. Thank you all for your help.
