David, Thanks for your response. I'm sending some photos to Louise's email. I'm not happy with my photo of the mark..it's impressed and hard to see let alone photograph. I'd be happy to send a small plate to someone who could do a better photo. The mark is shown in my Kovel's..lion and unicorn on each side of a shield with a line of "bricks" beneath. Kovel's shield says "opaque granite china". In my mark, underneath these same words is "W R Co".
Somewhere in googling this pottery, I found a reference to Ridgway..and will try to find it again. Cheryl
