I'm not aware of a connection between William Ridgway, a Staffordshire potter, and the Swillington Bridge Pottery in Yorkshire. I would be very interested to see the marks on these plates. As far as I am aware the pottery never operated under a name that would fit the initials W.R. & Co. It would be lovely to have these floral patterns in the database, whoever made them. Could you either post them on the message board, Cheryl, or email photographs to my wife Louise, who is one of the database editors for the Floral & Botanical category, at louise@david-scriven-antiques.fsnet.co.uk
