The received wisdom is that Cattle Scenery was a pattern inherited from Meir, when Adams took over the Greengates Pottery, Tunstall in 1897 (for example Furniss & Wagner). Cattle Scenery marked Adams is found often, but has anybody ever seen Cattle Scenery pieces marked for Meir?
The pattern database has a reference to Meir Cattle Scenery in the entry for Mayer Cattle & Scenery, but I cannot find the Meir entry referred to.
