Dear Susie,
First of all, I'm sorry that your Db search did not produce information on this pattern. We have published 2680 patterns as of this morning and have been recording over 100 per month. Our goal is to be at 3000 or more by the time of our annual meeting in Colonial Williamsburg Oct. 16-19. We depend on members and contributors to provide us with images and information of transferware patterns. I would be pleased to get your pattern recorded, if you could send me good full sized images of a piece, preferrably a plate or platter, the mark and a description of the piece on which the pattern is found.
Now to your question. A very quick Google image search identified three examples of this pattern on both dinnerwares and wash sets. Kowalsky, (Encyclopedia of Marks on American, English, and European Earthenware, Ironstone, and Stoneware 1780-1980. Atglen, Pennsylvania: Schiffer Publishing Ltd., 1999.),indicates that this was a single pattern and does not record it as a series. However, the images from my Google search show that the patterns did vary. So, one could deduce that each piece could have had a slightly different central pattern. The two colors I found were black and blue. Hope this helps! I hope there are other members who will be able to provide you with more information.
