Thirty years ago, my grandmother gave me a number of dinner plates, a platter and a four-piece sauce tureen set in blue and white. I was going to use them to eat from and my mother was mortified so they have been packed away. I am just unpacking them and have spent days trying to find out about them. Both my parents and all my grandparents have passed away so I can't ask them. The back of the platter says Pomerania; some of the plates say Pomerania and have a JR underneath, some just say Pomerania; and the sauce set just has a number 2 in blue on various pieces of it and an 8 or 3 and a 6 or 9 on one tureen foot and leg. What I am wondering: is this a legitimate pattern in blue/white? I have found examples in red and brown but nothing in blue. And what do the numbers mean? I find the JR means it was produced in Shelton between 1830-55. Is this correct? ANY information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. Susan
