I was born and reared in Moate, the son of Paddy Tormey, your father's first cousin.
Your father spent time 'on the run' his brothers Jim, Joe and David.
I had the privilege of reading the declaration of the republic at the unveiling of the Moate monument in 1963.
Two of my sisters still live in Moate
