James Tormey, capitalist 1870 San Jose, California

I am researching a piece of property in downtown San Jose that was once owned by James Tormey and family. They are listed in the 1870 City Directory. I believe James was married to Katherine and they had a daughter named Mary who was a school teacher in San Jose.

I am just starting this project, so any information would be appreciated.
