I am not personally familiar with the Lima family, and sadly I don't have any record of that name in my files on Rodeo. Posting your information on bulletin boards like this, though, can be helpful, as others may stumble across your posting while doing similar searches. You might also want to contact someone at the Contra Costa Historical Society or the Contra Costa Genealogical Society.
Following are some links that might be of help:
Contra Costa Historical Society: http://www.cocohistory.org/index.html
Contra Costa Genealogical Society: http://www.cccgs.org/
Contra Costa Databases on Rootsweb: http://www.rootsweb.com/~cacccgs/
California Genealogical Society: http://www.calgensoc.org/web/cgs/cgshp.nsf?Open
There are also some websites specifically associated with the Lima surname that you might want to explore:

http://www.distantcousin.com/SurnameResources/Surname.asp?Surname=LIMA
http://genforum.genealogy.com/lima/

Sorry I don't have anything more specific for you. Hope this is of some help.
Best regards,
