It seems 90%-95% of the people who play in TOP come to play hearts in a tourney that bills itself as being fun and competitive both. Most of the time it lives up to that billing.
Every now and then someone decides to try to rain on our parade. That's life. When actions step over the bounds we call our "rules", we have TD's who try to handle such incidents and return the tourney back to that "fun and competitive" state. It happens and we get over it.
Whatever happened before I even arrived to play last night is over, let alone what happened 3-4 years ago before I played my first game here. We shouldn't burden new players by criticizing them because they don't know "what TOP was". They shouldn't have to know what TOP was... only that TOP *is* the only regular singles tourney on Hardwood Hearts and its largest hearts tourney.
Let's move out of this desire to recapture something that isn't anymore, and just make it the best at what it is.
