Effective immediately and until further notice, TOP is adopting a Zero Tolerance Policy on all name calling and swearing as defined at Toptourney.org/rulez.html. A cool down period will be issued in the form of a whole room silence that will end 5 minutes after the game’s finish, should Host intervention be required in any game in progress. Lobby arguments will be treated the same way with a 10-minute silence. Ok Toppers, now that we have the formalities out of the way let me explain this in a little more detail. The bickering and fighting is escalating to a point that takes the fun out of the games, for all the players, not just the ones involved. This is a nightly tournament, which is intended for social rated hearts, with emphasis on the social aspect. Not all players are on the same skill level and not all players are compatible personality wise. However, it is not realistic to think that you will never play the people on the tier above or below you. It is our hope, that the cool down period will enable players to do just that, before hitting Lobby still irritated or frustrated and taking it further than it needs to go. Remember, “Cursing and Name-Calling will get me DQ’ed but Fooms will never hurt me!”
