I think some scenarios might help illustrate what points players get according to the rules as I have interpreted them:
Scenario 1:
A player comes in third in the first round 1 game that completes. The TD asks the player to sub for another player who got disconnected, and he comes in 4th in the other game. He gets 4 for the 3rd place game plus 5 lucky dawg points for a total of 9 points for round 1. He does not get the 1 point for the 4th place finish as he gets the better of the 2 games.
Scenario 2:
A player comes in third in the 2nd round 1 game and has a wild number that would eventually allow him to advance to the semifinals. The TD needs a sub and the third place player from the 1st game that ended has already left. Player fills in and comes in 2nd in the new game. Player would get the 7 from the 2nd game plus 5 for lucky dawg, but is limited to 10 points for the round. Player also advances as a 2nd place player, allowing someone else to be a wild.
Scenario 3:
Player finishes as a 3rd place player but is not a low enough wild. TD starts semifinals but one of the players has to leave, so the TD asks him to take his place. Player gets 3rd place in the semifinal game. Player gets 4 points for the 1st round and 4 points for the second round. There are no sub points.
Any other scenarios that you would like me to interpret, please describe here.
