Actually, yeah if the discussion gets contentious I would agree it should be taken out of the lobby. Going into a room to hash it out might be a good way to get past it without causing disruptions, so definitely you have a good idea, Nascar.
I was thinking more about regular game chat where people can rationally explain why they did something.
For example, one game last night I saw, 2nd gave the Q to either 3rd or 4th (they were close) instead of low. When the new high asked why he did that, 2nd said he had no choice (which is fair and can be vetted during a game replay). High asked why 2nd didn't give it to 3rd instead. Had the conversation been allowed to continue, it could have been pointed out that it made no difference since just 12 points separated 3rd and 4th, and basically all that would have changed would have been who was in those positions, not the score. (aha!)
Discussion of what cards you pass (i.e., when do you NOT pass a heart?), which ones you play (high cards or middle cards first?), when to try shooting, etc., would improve everyone's overall strategy and the challenge level of this tourney.
Of course, the message board is always open for that, but sometimes you want to discuss a particular game situation while it's still fresh in everyone's mind.
