I disagree (respectfully of course). Just as people use the current method of playing for 2nd as a way to advance, if it were 4th place moving on instead, I can see someone throwing the game, getting the 1 point as a way to get 10 the next and move on. It makes for excellent semifinal games usually the way we do it now, but I would think semis made up of 2 1sts and 2 4ths at each table would cause a lopsided match.
