Posted by Dana 1. When a player is booted or leaves a game, WAIT for them to return (do not allow someone else to take the seat and do NOT play with a bot). 2. If they are not back in FIVE MINUTES, ask Host for a sub 3. Finish the game with the sub in place of the missing player (sub will get 5 extra points for subbing, in addition to the points already earned by the person for which he/she is subbing, as well as any points the sub earns). * If the missing player returns after the five minutes is up, we are sorry but the sub has now taken that spot and continues to play. 4. If a player is booted 3 times in one tourney, the host will have to DQ that player from the tourney, and provide a substitute, in order to prevent on-going disruption of the game. We hate to do this, but it is not fair to keep the rest of the tourney waiting while one player comes and goes. 1. Abusive or disruptive behavior toward staff or other players at any time during the tournament. This includes name calling and excesive binds. SWEARING* will not be tolerated at all in TOP! 2. VOLUNTARILY leaving a game (including EOMs) * Obviously, we cannot prove or disprove, anyones lack of connection or electricity. I believe however, that someone saying, Here take my seat, qualifies as voulantary, unless it is a host or cohost. Now, you can read the newsletter, and see any other conditions that have been applied since TOP went reg required.

Ok guys, this is not rocket science. This page is as available to all players, as it was to me, at toptourney.org. Now, with the cohost situation being what it is now, it does make it easier for the host to have a replacement. HOWEVER, these are the rules. These apply unilaterally, to all players. Now, since there are those who would whine,I will no longer be giving up my seat to the occassional player who has the misfortune to wander in behind me, and be left out. I would like it noted however, that if I am "cohosting" I retain the right to do so, and don't want to hear about it.
Well, of course we know HW prevents you from swearing, however, implied swearing such as using the letters bs, f, fu, c
and a few others I can think of! If abuse is reported by any player, the game log should be forwarded to Sagi or Drunkie for reveiw. Forwarding a game log* This is done by locating the game log number in your /Progroams Files/Hardwood Hearts/GameLogs/ folder. Simply zip and send via e-mail. If you dont have Winzip, just attatch the text file. ( This is self explanatory, and doesn't need much explanation, now does it? However, there are those who think it is ok to harass and distract the host while they attempt to get out rooms, keep track of wilds, and answer relevant questions. That counts too, as far as I am concerned.)
