Not so much fun!

I'm sorry I've been neglectful about keeping everybody up on events but it's been kind'a crazy. Bev had to be rushed to the ER about 6:00 a.m. on January 8 and almost instantly re-routed to Seton Hospital in Austin for emergency "pacemaker" surgery. Her heart rate was only 30 instead of 70 to 90 as a normal heart should beat. She spent a couple days in their ER and a couple in Cardiac Care before being transferred to the Towers Nursing Home here in Smithville. She also has C.O.P.D., congestive heart failure, a deteriorated right hip joint and macular degeneration to make things interesting. She's getting physical therapy, breathing treatments, etc. as well as medication changes to get a better handle on a lot of things happening at once. We're hoping she gets to come home in a week or so.
On top of all this, the mother board in my computer decided to go south a day before all this happened and the kids told me they could help and get things cheaper to fix it. Long story short, finally had enough copious-free-time
to set it up. As you can probably tell, I'm not home much. I know you all have been keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, for which we'll always be thankful. I promise to keep up better...assuming that little, black cloud doesn't sneak up on me again!
