Rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated!

Well, I finally did it. After having not shot a gun of any kind for at least eight months, first due to the pain in my hand caused by the tumor in my wrist and within my ulnar nerve (not to mention winter) and then due to the damage done to my right hand by the surgery on January 25th to remove said tumor, today was my day to end the lengthy period of stgnation and degeneration. My shooting box has been all set up and ready to go all long so I only needed to throw it, some target and one of my hunting rifles into the car and off to the range I went. I gotta tell you, I started feeling like my old self just knowing I was headed to the range. It felt good to be acting like me again.
I set up ad started shooting with one other old timer who was shooting modern pistol and getting ready to head for the Nationals in Ohio. The guy shoots good! I was afraid that between not having shot for so long and thinking about how screwed up my right and still feels (and may always feel) that I'd embarrass myself but I sure didn't. Maybe it was the extra attention I was paying to my form but man, I was driving tacks today!
Anyway, did I mention it felt good to be shooting muzzleloader again?
Oh! Keep an eye on amazon.com starting in a month or so. I have a little book bout bear attacks coming out soon. Good book :-)
