Filled a doe tag, Tuesday morning with a button buck. This was the 18th deer that I saw that morning. All but three were over 250 yards out. Hunting buddy confirmed that the shot I made was at a hundred yards. Thank goodness I had a tree to lean against and make a steady shot. Worked my butt off carrying a tree stand and climbing sticks (40 Lb.) in the half mile and setting up by 06:45. Most of the deer I was seeing were another 3-5 hundred yards north of where I had set up. Moved the stand late wednesday morning to this area. Didn't see a thing until this morning. Three deer at first shooting time, but couldn't see the front sight, it was so dark. At noon I came back home and painted the back of the front sight with a mix of neon yellow and white. Tonight I could see it real good at quitting time. Hopefully tomorrow morning will be as good. Two more tags to fill. Leon
