Yeah, you're doing a loot of work there for no return. Watch my loading video. Shoot, swab, and load a grease patched ball. By the way, you MIGHT want to try a Lee REAL bullet. Conicals are totally traditional and that 1 in 48 would shoot a R.E.A.L. (Rifling Engaged At Loading) bullet very well. You can buy a mold and cast them yourself too.
In hunting situations (especially dangerous game hunting) I load with a patched ball but I keep a measured charge and a Lee REAL bullet handy for a fast backup load.
