I've never mastered hunting corn fields. (We're talking 200-400 acres at a crack here) You gotta find a trail out to water, then wait till nearly dark. If the farmers are in the field you might get lucky if they chase the critters out.
If you get an idea a bedding area, you might have a chance, but that takes the kind of scouting I don't have time for.
I take my chances with late season, fight the cold and snow. I prefer the timber anyway.
Still haven't heard of any good kills yet. Although my boss did just get back from Wyoming and a successful elk hunt. Elk feed friday at noon.
