Like Flintlock, I've been fairly successful with spring turkey hunting, but the fall gun season comes up against bow hunting for deer. I always think about fall turkey gun hunting, but the 100 mile drive to a county that allows gun hunting as opposed to spring turkey gun hunting that is available just 10 minutes away has so far been discouraging. Besides, all I've read about fall turkey hunting notes the need to be familiar with the flock's daily activities which distance makes not a reasonable thing for me to do. Soooooo...I'll probably stay close to home and take my chances of taking one with a bow while deer hunting, which my home county allows. Tom
