I bought some gunflints at Friendship, and carried them home in my pants posket. Unfortunately they went through the laundry. My wife said "What are these rocks doing in the washing machine?". There were three of the five flints, still useable, but I'll have to knap the edges a little. Then the other two were found in the dryer. They are so damaged that I probably won't get a single shot out of them.
Moral of the story: Don't carry flints in your pockets. And clothes dryers do a lousy job of knapping flint.
