Wow Wow Wow. People People People. Just got back. I was lucky to meet Carl. Had a short chat and than we both contiued on our way to catch the variety of plunder that was for sale. Flintlocks galore. Way too ornate for me. I like them plain and simple. Also too rich for my pocketbook. Picked up a nice tool for shaving down ramrods. Hand made for $25.00. Great deal. Needed some braintan for leggings but abit pricey. Lots of horns, bags and other shooting needs. Bought my wife a nice fowler bag that she will use as a fall handbag. I know. Go figure. Chambers had an in the white Lancaster that he assembled which I almost bought.
Still enjoy Friendship the best. A more mix of items both at the shed side and the rendezvous side. Dixons however has more higher end builders by far but the Meca of muzzleloading is still Friendship for me. Dixons Fair is a gunbuilders convention and a wonderful one with some of the nicest muzzleloaders I have ever seen. The store is packed with just about all you need but too many people inside to get to it.
The trip to Dixons was enjoyed but I just didn't have enough cash to buy what I really needed(wanted) another flintlock. Fall Friendship will be here in a flash so maybe I'll treat myself to one more when I go.
Hope to get to the range sometime this week as I am on holidays but still on call.
