The silent movie Grass made in 1925 is about the annual migration of herders in Asia. With in the first few minutes of the movie is a hunting scene. The hunter loads his percussion smooth bore with a load of powder that he simply pours onto his palm then into the barrel. Then puts a crumple piece of paper down the barrel. He shows a round ball of about .60 cal and drops it in. Then another piece of paper. Ramming it all down. He shows a cap being put on the nipple. He has a very interesting camouflage. A three foot square of what looks like snow leopard hide suspended on a set of crossed sticks that are hinged at center , in the upper part is two peep holes about two inches apart making like a big mask. He opens it up and sneaks through the rocks using the mask. Up at the top of a cliff about one hundred yards is a wild goat. He takes careful aim and with that one shot the goat comes tumbling down from the top of the cliff. The next scene is the goat being brought into camp, this goat has horns that are about four feet long. Huge I saw this on Turner Classic Movies
