Just happened to stumble upon the Hide while looking for information on a Cheney rifle in .54 that I just picked up. Looking forward to tapping into the great info I've glanced at so far.
Rifle by the way is .54 percussion, bird's eye maple stock (plains or mountain style, not certain of the difference), plum finish on barrel and hardware.
Any info would help greatly.
