I have done a lot of target shooting and started using it so I don't shoot out my aiming point. It worked well for that and I thought putting the black target on top of the sight made it easy to see in general. The jury is still out for me as I have some rifles sighted in with a center hold too but eye sight isnt a problem for me yet... Where are you from? Dave in Antigo
