If you know a youngster, take them shooting. Black powder, .22, archery, whatever you can interest them in. Our local club has a youth field day this month. I've signed up my 2 grandsons. They will shoot airguns, .22's, muzzleloader, shotgun, archery and go to the lake for canoeing safety instruction and a trip on the lake.
Our shooting and hunting heritage depends on getting the youngsters involved, and their moms too.
