French and Indian War, the FIRST World War. With Bushy Run, Jumonville, Fort Necessity, Fort Ligonier, Fort Pitt, Hannastown, Braddock's Grave and the Braddock Trail just minutes away, where else? Braddock's Trail runs through the farm of a friend and he has found a cannonball and other relics from Braddocks Expedition while plowing.
As a side note, my wife's grandmother's family owned the land that is now Fort Necessity National Battlefield. Grandma Annie Belle used to tell the tour guides at Washington's Tavern on the battlefield which room she slept in as a little girl. It used to be their farmhouse. She was born in 1891 and lived to be 98. Very interesting person to talk to about the old days.
