For me there's something very attractive about the solitude of the Rocky Mountains around 1820. Build a cabin. Maybe meet a nice Indian gal who could teach me a few things. Hunt at will and spend time making and preserving food. Heck, I'd probably go to rendezvous for supplies and leave early. Yep. That's where I am in my mind when I'm shooting muzzleloader.
