Well this post puzzles me as the poster is Linda/NorthIdaho, but signed by John?
Any way who ever you are you are entitle to your opinion, and me my opinion.
My opinion is people who are not into Target Shooting, and $3.50 Shooting Medal are dropping NMLRA Membership as the NMLRA Membership offers little in return for their Annual Dues Fees.
Unless you get a buzz from Muzzle loading Target Shooting, than get a BUZZ on having a Shooting Box full of Shooting MEDALS.
Also the other NMLRA Membership Benefits are not worth the $40.00/YEAR MEMBERSHIP FEE, as Muzzle Blast the agazine you get with Membership is BORING, and VERY REPETITIVE. IMHO.
Now if you live close enough to Friendship, and can take advantage of the Shooting & Camping Privileges that is a good deal for $40.00 /Year Range Use & Camping.
Last I will say the NMLRA BOD, and Presidents of past years have been promising Members, and Non Members for too many years if they join the NMLRA, things will change for the better, things will be more member friendly.
All this is just more POLITICAL Promised, like we get from all those who want our votes to be elected to some office, be it NMLRA BOD, City Dog Catcher, or President of the USA.
Yes Bucko I am not happy with the NMLRA, and their BS. Plus my unhappiness goes further than the NMLRA shall we say getting IN BED with the INLINE Manufactures.
As far as your comment about the “idiot box” hell I was hearing that argument when I was 9 years old that I was watching too much TV. BAD ARGUMENT.
Shooting Sport that listen to members comment, wants and dislike are in a growth mode like, IDPA, IPSC, SASS, the Single Action Shooting Society, aka Cowboy Shooting.
BTW Chuck Dixon’s Gun Fair only seem to be in a GROWTH MODE, unlike the NMLRA Membership Numbers. Is not the Dixon Gun Fair all about Traditional Muzzle Loaders????
