I went down yesterday to check on my trailer.
My carpet was just a little damp for about two feet from the door.
I lucked out, because the water swirled about under it.
I had a bench resting on the front end of the trailer along with a lawn chair.
I'm sure the bench came from the gun makers hall rear patio.
As far as water level this was a little worse that the one in '97.
It displaced a lot of fill from where the sewer was installed. Contractors were replacing the fill when I was there.
There is one trailer on the far bank of the creek across from the flea market parking lot,and it has the same appearance as when you squash a pop can with your foot.
I have pix and sent them to the NMLRA. Maybe they will post them.
A lot of fencing was pulled out because the ground was so saturated.
One shooter who lives a little west of there said on Tues and Wed he recorded 7.6 in. in his rain gauge.
That "creek" is so straight the water flows like a fast freight train.
A friend of mine was there and he just finished ripping out his carpet. He had over a foot of water in the trailer.
I think I'll raise my trailer by one cinder block.
Bottom line.........it's a mess !!
