Diabetes defintely affects your eye sight. I can tell when my blood sugars are high by my eye sight. I too urge you to go to your doctor to get checked out. I would add 2 things . First get your doctor to refer you to an endocrinlogist. They will do a Hemoglobin A1C blood test which tells what your blood sugars have been over the last 3 months. The endocrinlogist will best treat because that is their speciality and they keep up with the latest information. Also, I would have an eye exam by an opathamologist. They will look at the blood vessals in the back of your eye for possible damage from high blood sugars. Good luck and I hope you are not diabetic but if you are it is not the end of the world. It can be treated but you may have to change some of your eating habits. Left untreated there is a number of problems you will face in the future.
