Before I started hunting with my GPR flintlock, I used a NewEnglander. I had great luck with either Buffalo Bullets, or the Great Plains. My brother still uses them in his .54 GPR, but I prefer the PRB. OTOH, I didnt care much for the TC maxi's ect. Guess that shows again, that each gun will have it's own preference. I do agree that you have to check them occasionally, to make sure they are still on top the powder.
