This is from a devoted PRB shooter, so there is not a lot of experience with conical bullets here, but this is my feeling.
The Maxi Ball is a tried and true bullet, designed by T/C to shoot in a T/C. So is the Maxi Hunter. What few i have shot in testing applications seemed to shoot pretty good. BUT - they do tend to migrate out the barrel. Nothing worse than having one of them little buggers sticking its nose out the muzzle to say hi to you and see what's going on.
I have not been too impressed with the Hornady Great Plains Bullet. Never could get a lot of accuracy there nor with the Buffalo Bullet. That's about the extent of my expertise with long bullets.
Forget about sabots, they don't work well in that fast a twist, not as well as with a 1:28 or so, anyway.
YMMV
