We shoot 3.2 ounces so we get 5 "pops" per pound. One of the other guns in our Lake George battery, a six pounder, was loading 1/2 a pound per shot. I have heard claims the artillery fire was heard over 6 miles away. The event had good sponsors so some of the powder for artillery was provided. Between the French and English batteries there had to be well over 350 artillery rounds over the weekend.
