Today it has gotten low. It's $2.89 but it had been $3.40. Average? Better than triple. Powder has gone up dramatically too and regardless of how little you might have been making in 2000, the average shooter is spending A LOT more to buy powder and drive somewhere to shoot than he was not very long ago. Me? I'm dong pretty well myself and you know what? I haven't paid for gas in 23 years. But that and I are beside the point. The point here is that powder has not gone up in price in keeping with the average shooter's earnings. Shooters are being squeezed, as is the entire middle class.
