Posted by Ed Novak on 4/18/2005, 4:56 pm Special thanks to Tim Mullen for his advice, help and company for the first part of the day. His river knowlege helped make this a great day for me and my clients. (Frank may even have two new customers). Tim, you were correct that the tail-out was loaded with fish...too bad some old guy beat us there: he whacked them good! (not that we needed any more fish)

My first and last time as a guide (a trip for two auctioned off for charity) was quite enjoyable as both the Grand River and steelhead Gods supplied my two "clients" with enough steelhead to keep them busy the entire day. Fish were actually on the move most of the day which kept our walking and hunting to a minimum. Lots of hook-ups, they mangaed to land seven; buggers and nymphs being preferred over egg patterns. (Not to mention the sick numbers of suckers and a few carp).
