Charlie Harker and I fished the Elk Sunday. Water was a little low, but the problem was it was gin clear. Light colored sucker spawn worked in the morning, but nothing worked from mid-morning till night fall but minnow patterns. If you didn't have a minnow pattern, you were not getting much action.
There were fish everywhere and most are near chrome. Fishing in the riffles was the most fun, as when you hooked a fish it exploded into the air and was generally off the hook.
It was fun, hoping for more water by next weekend.
