Posted by David Rinehart They only wanted something pink. No other color was effective. And there were chrome fish mixed in with some not-too-old fish. And they were HOT! Charles landed three fish, while I landed two. We both lost a fair number of fish. Charles lost several that had him into his backing. I had one that spent much of his fight airborne! I think he was on the fast track to evolving lungs. The steelhead season is NOT over folks. But you will have to search for FAST water. I would think you can fish for steelhead for another couple of weeks and find chromers. Not a lot, but they are there! Good fishing

Charles Harker and I fished the Chagrin Sunday morning. Started at Gates Mills, and found no fish in anything but "Frog Water", so we went downstream to Todd Field. Again found nothing there, but way upstream we ran into fish. There was a pod of chrome steelhead in the rapids way upstream.
