Posted by Dave Rinehart Talked with Rick Johnson, and he fished the creek on June 18th. He fished the lower section from the covered bridge up and a whole day of fishing netted two fish. Then he checked out behind the fly shop and it was loaded with fish. So apparently, all the fish are behind the fly shop. We were wondering if the meat-fishermen took all the fish home, but I'm thinking it is the damn herons. There is a bunch of them around the creek and they are not vegetarians!!! Last I heard the fish & game folks get real excited about killing herons, so . . . . . I suppose we could hunt herons with Golden eagles? Now where we get a trained Golden Eagle? Hum . . . . . .

Steve and I fished the Nashanock on Sunday morning. Steve got a 12" brown shortly after we started fishing, so the day started off with a bang. Then the day went on and on and on with NOTHING. Finally, I found a honey-hole area loaded with creek chubs! Steve won the day with a good half dozen or more. I sucked up the rear with only two, so . . . Steve won the day.
